This is NOT another small youtube widget or a video box to be shown on the right side of your website. This is the real deal. Now show your actual complete youtube channel on your website just like its shown on youtube.
Youmax plugin will display your channel uploads, playlists and a featured playlist that you may choose. Users can browse through your playlists and uploads and watch videos they like. Introducing Youmax 1.0! Check out the demo!

How to use:
The download pack contains the plugin file - youmax.min.js and the HTML file deployed in the demo youmax.html
1. Specify your Youtube URL
Enter you youtube channel URL in a piece of javascript as shown below. Ex: http://www.youtube.com/user/Apple)
Optionally you may specify a playlist on youtube channel to display in the featured tab (Ex: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZnxqowr6IKidF63-ybswuiO074g366-Y). If this is not supplied the latest playlist is displayed in the featured tab as the featured playlist.
Another optional parameter is the "youmaxDefaultTab". This lets you choose the tab that will be selected by default on the youmax interface. Ex: You may set its value to "uploads" or "playlists" or "featured" and the appropriate tab will be auto-selected.
2. Include plugins
Include the jQuery plugin if not done already. Now, include the plugin youmax.min.js before the end of your body tag and you are done!
3. Create a container for your interface
Add a div as shown below in you HTML. This div will contain the Youmax widget and display your channel feed.
A Youtube like view of your channel will be shown on your webpage!

This will display the first video in your list to be selected and open at the top...

Hi, can you please elaborate on "loop playlists" feature that you requested. We were working on the next version of Youmax and thought of incorporating it!
Deletethis does not work in internet explorer. when u visit the gallery on ie it throws up an [object Object] error, any idea how to fix this?.

ReplyDeleteI was looking for a feature in 2.0 such that the share option of video can be auto set ON i.e., appears either at the end of video or at the beginning when they are loaded.
Another thing ( as i was doing that work right now for my site ).
I was wondering if wonderful thing can be created such that the Jquery Video Lightbox effect ( http://www.jacklmoore.com/colorbox/ ) can be combined with with this so that in html DOM only url's are loaded only and onclick in lightbox they load & play.
But should have your functionality of playlist | UserId | Channel
May Be very cool experience !

About Functionality im sorry to tell you that all i was telling you to dont lose that functionality, sorry why would you remove that as your more experienced than me.
Now concerning choosing http://www.jacklmoore.com/colorbox/ as lightbox, its not have any personal link.
I have looked out for many and that is MIT license, he is regulary updating compared to other old plugin. So im saying yes to him as said to your plugin.

ReplyDeleteBut, if you permit I suggest, would be nice if we could to chose haven't another tabs but "uploads" (in my case, for instance, I don't want people see my other YouTube stuff). In this case, the #youmax-tabs div it's not necessary to appears.

You can Have a quickfix, which takes same effort as doing via plugin.
DeleteGet firebug addon , find the div and set css to display:none;
I will get code by today evng. But if Code handling wants to add that feature, that also cool. I have no issues.
